I RAN INTO TAKAHIRO AT BASS PRO SHOPS

This letter just arrived:

"My name is Derek Snider. I had the privilege to meet
Yamamoto pro and Classic winner Takahiro Omori this past
weekend at a Bass Pro Shops in Georgia. Takahiro was very
courteous to my family and I.

Takahiro was shopping just like everyone else, and he was
nice enough to go way out of his way to make my family's
day. Takahiro went out of his way (back to his Yamamoto
mobile home) to get a marker to sign his autograph for us
and to give me a few packs of Senko's and new Fat Baby Craws
that I will put to good use. He could not have been any
nicer to us. He represents Yamamoto products well. Thank you
for having him on board. Let Takahiro know that we really
appreciate what he did for us - and to forgive me for
fumbling with my words, as I was star struck to meet him
like that!"

- Derek Snider from Locust Grove, GA

FOUR NEW YAMAMOTO HYPALON HANDLE FISHING RODS

You may have seen our new Hypalon handle fishing rods in our
2005 catalog - but were not able to buy them yet....

UNTIL NOW! They are in stock!

See our two new MOD II and MOD III spinning rods here:
http://yamamoto.baits.com/cgi-bin/order/22-SP

See our two new MOD II and MOD III baitcasting rods here:
http://yamamoto.baits.com/cgi-bin/order/22-BC

These Hypalon grip rods are designed by Gary Yamamoto to
withstand demanding use with Yamamoto products. The rubber
Hypalon grip is distinctively stylish. Not to be confused
with EVA typically seen on less expensive rods, Hypalon is
most commonly used on high quality saltwater rods for its
durability and wet grip strength, which is superior to cork.
Made with a high modulus graphite blank and plenty of Fuji
SiC guides, these Yamamoto rods give you great balance and
blend of power, sensitivity and casting ability.

MARC MARCANTONIO LANDS LINE CLASS WORLD RECORD WALLEYE

This letter just arrived from Marc Marcantonio, Team
Yamamoto member from Washington.

See a photo of Marc's new World Record Line Class walleye:

Says Marc, "I received great news today that the IGFA has
now certified my Columbia River Walleye as the official
WORLD RECORD for the 6lb-test line class!

My record weighed 13.75 pounds. This beats the previous 6 lb
line class world record of 12 pounds caught in 1995.

The walleye was caught in Washington state's Columbia River
in the Lake Wallula section at TriCities during a Northwest
Bass Tournament on September 25, 2005.

The walleye was caught while vertically dropshotting the
edge of the main river channel in 27 feet of water. It was
caught using the following tackle:

-Lamiglas Titanium TBS663 spinning rod
-Shimano Stradic 2500MG reel
-Gary Yamamoto Sugoi 6-pound test fluorocarbon line
-Gamakatsu #4 Dropshot Hook
-3/8-ounce QuickDrop Dropshot Sinker
-4" Clearwater Tackle Tapeworm (Sand #110)

The fish was released alive at the same spot after weighing
on certified scales, and taking measurements and photos."
