At Neely Henry, there will be both professional and amateur categories. The amateurs will fish the back of the boat for cash prizes in their own category. Any lady who is interested in becoming part of the WBFA is invited to attend functions and even enter the tournament. A Salute to Veterans and fireworks on the docks just prior to launch will start the ladies' 2 days of intense competition on Thursday morning, April 10. Launch will be at the Gadsden City Boat Docks, and weigh-ins there on Thursday and Friday start at 3:00pm. Emcee George Braswell, Yamamoto Bait Company, will regale the weigh-in audience with the status of each lady angler and what it will take to capture the top spot on the leaderboard. It is definitely a family spectator event. It's not uncommon for Yamamoto baits, hats, and even rod and reel combos to be given to some of the kids in the crowd. So come to the weigh-in if you can!
