Yamamoto Announces National Sponsorship of 2009 Crappie Masters Tournament Trail
January 20, 2009

Bill Braswell will ride for the brand in his Yamamoto wrapped boat.
Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits is pleased to announce their 2009 national sponsorship of Bass pro Shops Crappie Masters All American Tournament Trail.
Ken Sasaki, President of Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits states, "I remember as a boy growing up in South Mississippi, when you said, “Let’s go fishing,” you either meant we were piling in the station wagon and heading for the Gulf Coast, or it was time to grab the cane poles and head for any one of the many watering holes that dot that part of the country. Armed with cane pole, bobber and cricket, you were ready to catch an evening meal that was second to none; bluegill or crappie."
"At Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits, we have long known that our lures work equally well for catching pan fish. Around two years ago we began to work on ideas for lures dedicated to this very popular game fish. We also knew that in order to show our commitment to the pan fish community, we needed to show support. We believe that our sponsorship of Crappie Masters will help to show our dedication to the art of crappie fishing and all other forms of pan fishing. It is something that I personally believe in because I, along with many others here at Yamamoto, grew up catching both crappie and bluegill and still enjoy it very much even unto this day. We hope our association with Crappie Masters is a long and mutually beneficial one. They are a great bunch of guys," says Ken Sasaki.

Gary Yamamoto is one of the most well known names in baits around the country and we are excited to promote their new line of baits and that they have chosen our trail to sponsor."

Yamamoto's new crappie, perch and panfish product line for 2009 includes:

-
C105 Yama Minnow: It's wide, beefy minnow-shaped body makes it easy to rig, and it's quivering, tapered tail makes it look enough line a young-of-year fry to almost be one.
-
C2J 2-inch Single Tail Grub: Perfect in every proportion for crappie and panfis. The C2J has the same enticing tail wiggle, same salt impregnation and the same supersoft formula that has made Yamamoto grubs famous for bass.
-
C92T Ika: Versatile in that it can be used as is or you can trim the body and thin the tails in order to get precisely the size and action you want.
-
C108 1-3/4" Tube: Yamamoto's smallest offering. When finicky crappie and perch require a downsized presentation, matchthe hatch with Yamamoto's C108 tube bait.
