Joan Arnal is a well know outdoor writer in Spain, and an avid tournament angler. Since childhood, Joan has been interested in all kind of sports, skiing, fishing, football (soccer), and also running with the bulls. But after some trouble with the big "toros", he decide to focus only with largemouth bass fishing. Bass can be aggressive, Joan says, but you are always safe!

Joan was just 22 years old when he won the Carl Davis Memorial international trophy and also took second that same season in the European Bass International Tournament. That was when Joan started dreaming about one day competing in the United States, which he did during the 2002 International B.A.S.S. World Cup inaugural event.
