Jerry "Bubba" Puckett

Jerry "Bubba" Puckett, Page, AZ
Jerry "Bubba" Puckett has been editor since the inception of Gary Yamamoto's Inside Line Magazine, a bimonthly print issue, containing, not surprisingly, "inside" tips from the winning Inside Line team of Pro Staffers. Jerry says, "It's a friendly magazine, where talking to the principals and reading the magazine makes one feel sort of like belonging to the secret neighborhood clubs that are a universal and favorite experience of American childhood.
The magazine, in production since 1993, is better than ever says Jerry. Bigger, more photographs, new and diverse writers. Our pursuit of producing the highest possible quality products in fishing, the drive to improve on perfection, is reflected in the Inside Line. The more we can educate and entertain our customers the more we can improve on their satisfaction and success with our bait and our reader's fishing in general.
Jerry was established as the premier fishing guide on Lake Powell not long before Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits moved in up the street in Page, Arizona.
Says Jerry, "I used Gary's products to great success in my guide business long before I ever met Gary. We both subscribe to the proven philosophy that quality drives the top of the market. Hooking up with Yamamoto was a natural."
Jerry was a regular columnist in several outdoor magazines and the host of a local outdoors radio show when he took over the assignment as editor of the Inside Line. Without question, his columns on Lake Powell fishing ranked number one in all of his publications. Gary and Bubba have also been featured in numerous television programs on fishing Lake Powell.
Jerry came to Page, Arizona in 1987 after his career as General Manager of a successful trucking business in the American Southwest. He took a long look at his two small sons and told his wife they were moving to Lake Powell, to build a new lifestyle in the small, hometown environment he believed would be the wellspring that would sustain their family memories into the future.
Puckett says he understands why Gary Yamamoto wants the forum of a national magazine. "Gary is understandably proud of the quality of his products, and he wants to provide bass anglers with the knowledge and confidence to help increase their enjoyment and success at bass fishing. And that is the role of the Inside Line."
