Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin Film TV Shows with Gary

Two of bass fishing’s superstars, Jimmy Houston and Roland Martin, recently spent three days filming television programs and commercials with Gary at his ranch near Athens, Texas.
The two television programs, “Jimmy Houston Outdoors,” and “Fishing With Roland Martin,” will air on the Versus channel later this year. Houston’s show is about spinnerbaiting and has Martin as his guest; filming was done on one of Gary’s ranch lakes. Martin had Gary as his fishing guest and described not only fishing the new Yamamoto Swimming Jig, but also Gary’s Kobe beef cattle ranching activities.
In addition, Houston and Martin filmed a commercial about Gary’s Yama-Beef hamburger, which will air on both television programs for several weeks with the potential of reaching more than 100 million viewers.
“I’ve worked with Roland and been a sponsor on his television program for a number of years,” acknowledged Gary, “and I’ve known Jimmy and fished against him in competition nearly as long. It was a pleasure working with both of them and having them as guests at the ranch.
“Both anglers are very well known in the fishing industry, and I’m sure the commercial we
filmed about Yama-Beef will help gain attention to our hamburger products.”
Currently, Gary is working to place the high grade Yama-Beef hamburger in both a chain of national restaurants and grocery stores. Extensive tests by Texas A&M University have shown the hamburger can reduce cholesterol and lower the chances of heart problems, making it the healthiest beef available.
