The 225 anglers who participated in the tournament were treated to a weekend of fun, great weather, big bass and lots of prizes. While plenty of big fish came across the stage, the Delta failed to yield any of its true giants. Despite the lack of double digit monsters, the competition was keen and when all was said and done the 2018 Big Bass Challenge was a rousing success.

Following a week of unseasonably hot weather that saw temperatures hover in the triple digits, the 240 plus anglers that made their way to the seventh annual Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge were greeted with cooler temperatures and changing weather conditions. At stake were 60 big bass cash prizes, entrance into the Super 12 Grand Prize Drawing for biggest bass weighed in during each official tournament weigh in period, and a cash award for the biggest overall bass of the two day event.

On a very warm Thursday evening to an enthusiastic group of anglers, Delta Guide and Yamamoto Pro Staffer Andy “Cooch” Cuccia made the trek to the Fisherman's Warehouse in Sacramento, California for the annual Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge pre-tourney seminar.
