Texas' Third ShareLunker of 2003

Enrique (Rick) Gonzalez of Mesquite, Texas caught this season's third ShareLunker on February 4th at  9:00 AM.  Caught on a 9J Senko, Rick donated the 13.58 pound bass to the Texas Parks & Wildlife's ShareLunker program. Rick's fish weighed 13.58 lbs and measured 24.5" in length with a 21.75" girth.  Gonzalez was fishing in five feet of water on Lake Ray Hubbard with a Gary Yamamoto 4" Senko, Smoke with blue and gold flakes (9J-10-214).

Rick emailed us on Sunday to share his joy and good fortune. Following is his letter. Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits congratulates Rick on his trophy and wishes him continued success!

Dear Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits,

I want to thank you for making such a great product. For the past few months I had been looking and meaning to buy some Senko products but because I have a great interest in bow hunting I kept putting it off. I finally attended a tackle show in Mesquite TX, where I live and bought some of your Senkos.

Well I finally put your product to the test, I set out on February 4, 2003 to make the best of a half day fishing trip. Well after fighting the wind for a couple of hours and not to mention cold weather and worn out trolling batteries, I landed the biggest fish I have ever caught. I used your 4" smoke/black and blue with small gold flakes to land a 13.58lb black bass on lake Ray Hubbard. I entered the bass into the ShareLunker program and David Campbell from the Texas Parks and Wildlife came over and picked it up. It now stands as the 3rd lunker entered into the ShareLunker program for 2003.

I've been a firm believer 4" worms catch quantity fish and now with your 4" Senko product, quality fish are very achievable. My 13.58 black bass is all the proof I need. Once again take you for such a great product!
